Uisce Éireann working to restore water supply in Coalbrook and Carrick On Suir

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water to customers in Coalbrook who are experiencing a disruption to their supply following a burst water main in the area.
The affected areas include Earlshill, Ballincurry, Monslatt, Coalbrook, Ballingarry, Harleypark, Gurteen, Knockanglass, Foilacamin, Broomhill, Knockbrittas, Mardyke and surrounding areas in Co. Tipperary.
Supply is expected to be restored by 8pm this evening.
Following the repair works, it typically takes three to four hours for normal service to be fully restored to all areas as the network refills. It may take longer for customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Separately Uisce Éireann crews are continuing to carry out complex repair works in Carrick On Suir to a burst water main.
Expert water service crews are on site, carrying out the repair works. Every effort is being made to complete this work as quickly as possible. Repairs are expected to be completed by 12 p.m. this evening.
An alternative water supply remains in place Greenhills Village Estate.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty thanked customers for their patience for the duration of the outages.
