Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Water supply is returning to normal for customers in Donegal Town and surrounding areas following a significant burst to the water main supplying Drumrath Reservoir. Impacted customers in Donegal Town, Ardeskin, Milltown East, Laghey, Murvagh and surrounding areas can expect water supply to return to their properties over the course of the day.
As the network refills and supplies return throughout the day, customers at the end of the network may experience intermittent disruption or low water pressure for a number of hours. Customers may also experience short-term discolouration to their supply. For more information, customers can visit the Discoloured water section of our website.

Previous Updates
Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in Donegal Town and surrounding areas this evening, following a significant burst to the water main supplying Drumrath Reservoir.
As a result of this burst, customers in Donegal Town, Ardeskin, Milltown East, Laghey, Murvagh and surrounding areas may be impacted by water supply disruptions.
Expert water service crews are on site, carrying out the required repair works, with every effort being made to complete this work as quickly as possible. Repair works will continue until later tonight.
Uisce Éireann’s Damien O’Sullivan thanked affected customers for their cooperation while these repair works are being carried out. “We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We would like to thank impacted customers for their patience while we work to restore the water supply as quickly as possible.”
Typically, it takes three to four hours following repairs for supply to restore to customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, some customers may be impacted tomorrow (Saturday) by reduced pressure while the network recharges.
