Growth and Development Programme - Crodaun Wastewater Network Upgrade

Uisce Éireann is planning a project to upgrade the wastewater network in Crodaun, Co. Kildare to support future social and economic growth in the area, including planned residential development.

The project involves the installation of 1,125m of new sewer pipeline and the upgrade of a further 1,045m of existing sewer pipeline between the existing Castletown Wastewater Pumping Station and Crodaun, via Castletown Estate, Castletown Drive and the R405 Maynooth Road.

The project will create additional capacity in the wastewater network to enable the delivery of 938 new houses in the Crodaun area.

What’s happening now?

Detailed design of the project is ongoing. A contractor will be appointed to deliver the works in the coming months.

It is anticipated that construction works will commence in Q1 2026, with an estimated duration of 13 months.

In advance of this project moving to construction we will proactively communicate clear details of the project to the local community and to related stakeholders in the area.
