Newchapel area near Clerihan and Knocklofty affected with alternative water supplies available in both locations

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers in South Tipperary due to low reservoir levels at Jamestown Reservoir.

The areas affected are Newchapel area near Clerihan and Knocklofty, with alternative water supplies being made available in both locations.
Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore full water supply as quickly as possible.
“We understand the inconvenience an unplanned outage can have on our customers and appreciate their patience as we work to return normal water supply as quickly as possible."

Water is also returning to customers in Fethard following an operational issue at the Mullinbawn Water Treatment Plant.

Uisce Éireann crews have carried out the repair works and the network is currently recharging.
It is expected that the majority of customers who experienced a disruption will have a normal water supply within two to three hours. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network
