Works underway to restore supply to customers in Dromagh, North Cork
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water supply to impacted customers in parts of Dromagh and surrounding areas in County Cork. Some customers may be experiencing a disruption to their water supply as a result of a significant burst in the area.
Due to the nature of this burst and the complexities involved including traffic management on the N72, repairing and restoring normal supply to all customers affected by this unplanned outage will take longer than usual. Repair work is due to be completed by Wednesday, 04 June.
Alternative water supplies will be put in place with a water tanker becoming available from 1pm this afternoon (Sunday, 01 June) in the local community centre yard. Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
We understand the inconvenience caused by a prolonged outage like this and we appreciate the community’s patience and understanding. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
