Works underway to restore supply to consumers in East Meath
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann is working to restore the water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers in East Meath following two bursts on water mains supplying the area. The areas affected are Skryne, Macetown, Ratoath and surrounding areas in Co. Meath.
Uisce Éireann’s Enda Cully has assured customers that every effort is being made to reduce the impact on homes and businesses and restore normal water supply as quickly as possible.
“The repairs are being conducted as quickly and as efficiently as possible. We understand the inconvenience an unplanned interruption can have on our customers and appreciate their patience as we work to return normal water supply as quickly as possible," he said.
Repairs are expected to be completed by this evening. It may take two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by this unplanned interruption. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.

To ensure the safety of the crews carrying out the repairs to the burst and the safety of the public, traffic management will be in place and will be clearly signposted.
