The network is refilling and normal supply is returning for all customers
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Water supply is returning to normal for customers in Ardfinnan, and surrounding areas following a major burst water main which impacted supply to the Ardfinnan Water Treatment Plant.
The network is now refilling and normal supply is expected to return to all customers by 9 am tomorrow morning. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to New Chapel, Knocklofty, Clerihan as well as customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
Alternative water supplies are currently in place in New Chapel, Knocklofty, and Clerihan.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank the communities for their patience and understanding while crews worked to repair the burst.
"We’re asking customers supplied to conserve water to give the supply time to recover. Even small changes in how we use water can make a big difference, helping to improve the supply for everyone.”
