Water supply returning to Navan Road and Castleknock areas

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Water supply is returning to customers in Navan Road, Ashington, Castleknock and surrounding areas in Co Dublin following repairs to a burst water main yesterday, Wednesday, 24 September.

Work to repair the burst is now complete and supply should now be returning to all areas. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.

Uisce Éireann’s Keith Conmy thanked affected customers for their cooperation. “Uisce Éireann acknowledges the disruption that can be caused by an unplanned outage, and we wish to thank customers in the area for their patience as the reservoir continues to replenish to normal levels. Some customers may experience reduced water pressure as supply catches up with demand, but we expect full supply to be returned to all customers by this evening.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Our customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries.  For updates please see the water supply and services section of our website.
