Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Water supply is returning to customers in Garristown and surrounding areas in north County Dublin following disruptions in the wake of Storm Éowyn.

As a result of the loss of electricity at water treatment plants overnight, water production and distribution were significantly impacted throughout Friday.

Uisce Éireann repair crews, working with the local authority and ESB, have restored power and reservoir levels are now refilling.

Uisce Éireann’s Tselopile Tlou said: “We would like to thank residents and businesses for their patience and understanding while crews worked to restore supply. Supply is returning to all customers and alternative water supplies are being removed. It may take two to three hours for normal supply to be restored to all areas, and longer for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries.
