Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Water supply is returning to normal levels in Carrick-on-Suir after the successful repair of a water main in the Greenhills area of the town.
Uisce Éireann operational crews have been undertaking complex repairs to restore water to the area as quickly as possible following two separate bursts which occurred on the network since Sunday, 18 May.
The repairs were complete yesterday evening and supply levels in the area are currently returning to normal.
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to some customers as the system recharges.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank the communities for their patience and understanding while crews worked to repair the burst.”
