Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann crews are on site and working to repair a second major burst in Aherla, County Cork and restore water supply to affected customers today.
The unplanned outage may cause supply disruptions to Waterfall, Bandon Road, Ballincollig West, Ovens, Killumney, Aherla and surrounding areas.
Crews repaired an initial burst on Saturday, however, a subsequent burst occurred this morning.
Michael Bell, Water Network Operations Manager, Uisce Éireann assured customers that every effort is being made to restore full water supply as quickly as possible.
“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our works continue,” said Michael Bell.
Repairs are expected to be completed by 5pm today (Tuesday 10 June). Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
