Uisce Éireann advises of unplanned outages in Foxford area

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann customers in Foxford and surrounding areas may be experiencing some disruptions to their water supply this afternoon.

A mechanical issue at the Foxford Water Treatment Plant has impacted on operations at the plant. These interruptions, coupled with low reservoir levels, will cause supply disruption on the network.

Uisce Éireann customers in the areas of Rinnaney, Belgarrow, Corlummin, and the Pontoon Road may experience intermittent outages over the course of Sunday afternoon and evening.

Ronan McDonnell, Uisce Éireann Technical Operations Lead for Mayo, assured affected customers that every effort is being made to restore normal supply as quickly as possible.

“We understand the impact of an unplanned outage and we want to thank affected customers for their understanding while we allow the reservoir to recharge,” said Ronan.
