Uisce Éireann advises of planned water supply interruption in Clonmel

Uisce Éireann is carrying out essential works as part of the Glenary Water Treatment Plant upgrade. The works involve water mains repair which will necessitate a temporary interruption to supply on Thursday, April 10, from 1pm to 4pm. 

As a result, customers in Kilmacomma, Irish Town, Western Road, Cherrymount, Elm Park, Haywood Road, Roaring Springs, Cascade Road, Old Bridge and Old Dungarvan Road and the surrounding areas may experience reduced water pressure, and, in some areas an interruption to supply.

Uisce Éireann's Programme Manager, John Hickey said: "Every effort will be made to reduce the impact of these works on homes and businesses in the area. The upgrade to Glenary Water Treatment Plant will help protect the reliability of the supply to the local community into the future. We understand the impact low pressure and supply disruption can have on customers and would like to thank the local community for their patience and cooperation during the works."  

Following the works, normal supply may take three to four hours to fully restore to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
