Supply returned to 10,000 properties in Tralee after repair works completed on a large burst water main

Uisce Éireann crews have repaired a major burst to a rising main feeding Lisloose reservoir and water is returning to homes and businesses. 

Areas affected by the unplanned outage include Tralee town, Clogerbrine, Mounthawk, Caherslee, Spa, Churchill, Knockanish, Ballyroe, Blennerville, Curraheen and surrounding areas.  Brian O’Leary, Regional Operations Manager, Uisce Éireann thanked affected customers for their cooperation while the complex repair works were carried out. 

“Uisce Éireann acknowledges the disruption that can be caused by an unplanned outage such as this complex burst, and we worked as quickly as we could to return supply,” he said. Supply was restored to affected customers by 8pm last night.
