Planned outage tonight in Bundoran to facilitate new connections

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann wishes to notify customers in Bundoran of a planned outage which is scheduled to take place from 11pm tonight, Thursday, 16 October until 6am tomorrow, Friday, 17 October.

The planned outage on the Bundoran Public Water Supply is to facilitate new water connections for a housing development in the area.

The outage will impact supply to properties in the following areas:

  • Main Street, Bundoran
  • Church Road
  • Bayview
  • Promenade
  • Sea Road
  • West End
  • Finner

Damien O’Sullivan of Uisce Éireann thanked customers for their understanding and explained that these works are crucial to support the delivery of new homes for the community.

“We acknowledge the impact that a planned outage has on our customers, and we assure affected customers that our crews will work as quickly as possible to restore normal supply tomorrow morning.”

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
