Uisce Éireann has commenced a project to upgrade the wastewater infrastructure in Loughbollard to support growth and development in Clane.
Works to upgrade the existing wastewater pumping station at Loughbollard have recently commenced as part of Uisce Éireann’s national Growth and Development Programme.
Speaking on the project, Uisce Éireann’s Padraic Fitzgerald said, “We are delighted to be delivering these works for the community in Clane. These works will increase the capacity of the wastewater infrastructure, facilitating social and economic growth, including planned residential development.”
Coffey Construction are working on behalf of Uisce Éireann to deliver the project, which is expected to be complete by early 2026. Works are confined to the vicinity of the existing pump station sites, with advance site access signage in place.
Uisce Éireann understands that this type of work can be inconvenient and works crews will make every effort to minimise any disruption these necessary works may cause. Standard working hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Uisce Éireann is responsible for delivering public drinking water and wastewater services for the people of Ireland. We are committed to enabling communities to thrive by continuously upgrading and developing critical infrastructure to support sustainable growth and development, providing safe drinking water, and enhancing the environment.
