Crews working to restore water supply to customers in the Galtee Region

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water supply to customers in the Galtee Region and surrounding areas following a significant increase in demand during the recent warm weather combined with ongoing pressure on the raw water source supplying the Rossadrehid Water Treatment Plant, has resulted in critically low treated reservoir levels, causing low water pressure and supply interruptions for some customers.

Alternative water supplies are available for customers at Emly GAA club, Kilross Village car park, Lattin Cemetery, Cullen National School and Limerick Junction car park

Customers are reminded to use their own containers when collecting water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.

Crews are working to restore supply to impacted customers as quickly as possible.

To help manage day time supplies, night-time restrictions have been introduced for customers in  Ballyglass, Lisnagaul, Ardlomen, Bruis, Rathkea, Clonpet, Toor, Kilross, Ballywire, Lattin, Moanmore, Tulla, Coolboy, Emly, Ballynaveen, Drumcomoge, Shronell, Ballcohy, Ballinard, Glenbane, Farranasa, Cullen, Longstone, Ballinulty, Ardlaman, Ballygordan, Ballykisteen, Limerick Junction, Bohercrow, Coolmoyne, Kilbraugh, Derryluskin, Ballyvadin, Ardsallagh, Tullamain, Barrettstown, Racecourse, Garryandrew, Hills Lot, Prices Lot and and the surrounding areas. The restrictions will be in effect between 8pm and 8am and will remain in place until further notice.

Uisce Éireann's Pierce Faherty assured customers that every effort is being made to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible.

"We understand the inconvenience caused by interruptions to water supply and thank customers for their patience while crews work to restore normal service. Every effort is being made to minimise the impact on homes and businesses. However, some customers may continue to experience low pressure or intermittent outages until reservoir levels recover and the network has fully recharged," said Pierce.
