Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore water supply to customers on the Kinlough Tullaghan Water Supply Scheme in Co. Leitrim following a deterioration in raw water quality at Glenade Water Treatment Plant, which has impacted operations at the plant.
Customers in the following areas may be experiencing no water or low water pressure as a result:
• Dartry
• Erriff
• Largydonnell
• Glenade
• Kinlough
• Tullaghan
Uisce Éireann’s Kevin Love assured customers that every effort is being made to restore supply to those impacted as quickly and as safely as possible:
“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned disruption and thank customers for their patience while crews work to address turbidity issues the plant and restore supply on the Kinlough Tullaghan Water Supply Scheme. Protecting public health is Uisce Éireann’s top priority, and water quality and treatment processes continue to be closely monitored at all times.”
Water supply is expected to be returned to affected areas by 8am tomorrow morning (Monday). Typically, it takes a number of hours following the completion of works before water supply is fully restored to all impacted customers, and it may take longer for customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
