Crews making progress to restore water supply in Cullen

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann are continuing with works to restore water supply in the Cullen area.

Water has been restored to customers in Cloghaready, Emly, Glenbane, while Uisce Éireann crews are currently working to restore supply to customers in Cullen, and surrounding areas who have been impacted by the outage. 

Alternative water supplies are being provided in the following locations:

  • Cullen National School
  • Emly GAA Club

Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore a full water supply as quickly as possible.

“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our works continue.”

Water supply is expected to be returned to affected areas by 3pm today. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.

Customers wishing to check for updates can use the reference number TIP00108128  in the search bar on the Uisce Éireann website. Vulnerable customers who are registered with Uisce Éireann will continue to receive direct communications for outages lasting longer than four hours. Anyone wishing to register as a vulnerable customer or as an alternative contact can do so on our Vulnerable Customers page.

Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore water to customers in the Cullen area following a burst water main.

This is resulting in supply disruption to customers in Cullen, Glenbane and surrounding areas in Co. Tipperary.

Alternative water supplies are being provided in the following locations:

  • Cullen National School
  • Emly GAA Club
