Crews have repaired a burst water main in Ballina Town

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann crews have repaired a burst water main in Ballina and the water supply is returning to customers affected.

Following repairs, it typically takes two to three hours for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill thanked residents and businesses in the town for their patience while crews carried out the repair works following the burst at Convent Hill this morning.

“Unplanned outages are inconvenient for our customers and we thank them for supporting our crews while repairs were ongoing.”

Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
