Water supply returning to customers in South Leitrim following repair works
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Ballinamore and surrounding areas following the completion of repairs to a burst water main this morning.
While supply is back in Castlefore, Drumlitten, Foxfield, Fenagh, Edentinny, Ardrum, it may take a number of hours for normal service to fully return to all properties in Ballinamore. Homes on higher ground or at the end of the network may experience a delay as the system continues to refill and pressure builds.
Uisce Éireann’s Kevin Love thanked the community for their patience: “I would like to thank customers for their understanding while crews worked to repair the burst and restore supply as quickly as possible. We appreciate how disruptive outages like this can be, and we acknowledge the continued cooperation of the community as the network returns to normal.”
Typically, it can take three to four hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all properties after an unplanned outage. Customers located at the end of the network or on higher ground may experience longer restoration times as the system recharges.
