Crews are working to restore supply to customers in Dromore West

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in Dromore West and surrounding areas of County Sligo following a mechanical issue at Lough Easkey Water Treatment Plant.

Water service crews are on site and are working to restore operations at the plant as soon as possible.

The areas affected are Dromore West, Knockaculleen, Skreen, Easkey, Culleens and surrounding areas.

The necessary repairs have been completed, however, it will take a number of hours for reservoir levels to recover following the plant interruption and for normal supply to be restored to all customers affected.
Kevin Love, Uisce Éireann's Water Network Operations Manager for Co Sligo, said: “We understand the inconvenience caused by unplanned outages, and we are working to restore normal operations at Lough Easkey Water Treatment Plant as quickly as possible.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Our customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries.  For updates please see the water supply and services section of our website.
