Boil Water Notice lifted for Ironmills Water Supply

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

The Boil Water Notice on the Ironmills Water Supply has been lifted with immediate effect.

Uisce Éireann can confirm that, following consultation with the Health Service Executive, customers on this supply can now resume normal use of their water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.

This follows consistent satisfactory sampling results.

The Boil Water Notice was issued on January 20 to facilitate critical maintenance works being carried out at the Water Treatment Plant in Ironmills. The works now complete have addressed long running operational issues and will see a safer, more secure water supply for local homes and businesses in the area.

Drinking water experts from Uisce Éireann worked hard to lift the notice for impacted customers as quickly and as safely as possible.

Uisce Éireann’s Pat Duggan said “We are pleased to confirm that the Boil Water Notice has now been lifted. We appreciate the patience and cooperation of the local community in the Ironmills area while our drinking water experts carried out essential maintenance at the water treatment plant to provide a more secure and reliable water supply for our customers”

Uisce Éireann would also like to remind customers supplied by Tipperary Town’s Cordangan Water Treatment Plant that the Boil Water Notices in place for this supply will remain in place until further notice.

The Uisce Éireann Customer Contact Centre, open 24/7 on freephone 1800 278 278, is available to answer queries in relation to the lifting of this notice.
