Crews working to restore supply to customers in Kiltimagh area

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is advising customers supplied by the Kiltimagh Public Water Supply that they will experience supply outages this afternoon as a consequence of an equipment failure at the Kiltimagh Water Treatment Plant.

The failure has caused reservoir levels at the plant to fall rapidly. Uisce Éireann crews are working to preserve supplies for essential services and businesses in Kiltimagh town.

Some customers in the areas surrounding Kiltimagh will experience outages this afternoon while crews work to resolve the issue at the plant and restore normal supply.

Colette Scahill of Uisce Éireann said all efforts will be made to return supply to impacted areas as quickly as possible.

“We are working to maintain water supply to essential services and businesses in the town,” said Colette.

“Our crews are currently working to resolve the issue at the plant, and we hope to be in a position to resume normal operations soon. In the meantime, we wish to thank customers impacted by this outage for their understanding.”
