Chief Executive Officer

Niall Gleeson is the Chief Executive Officer of Uisce Éireann, Ireland’s national utility for public drinking water and wastewater services. He leads a workforce of over 4,000 staff, ensuring safe, clean, and sustainable water services nationwide. Under his leadership, Uisce Éireann is delivering a multi-billion euro programme of projects and investments to support housing delivery and wider social and economic growth.

Previously, Niall was Managing Director of Veolia Ireland and Alstom Ireland, holding senior roles at General Electric and Shanahan Engineering. With extensive experience in infrastructure, finance, and utilities, he has led major projects across Ireland, the UK, and Asia. An engineering graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology, he is a Honorary Fellow of Engineers Ireland and serves on the IBEC National Council and UCD’s Governing Authority.
